German Airline plans to resume flights to Pakistan

Famous German airline Lufthansa is planning to resume the weekly passenger flights to Pakistan announced by the German Ambassador to Pakistan. He also mentioned that a delegation of German businessmen is ready to visit Pakistan in the upcoming weeks to explore more investment opportunities. The business delegation would be visiting Islamabad and Karachi, and would also interact with the private sector’s investors.

 

 

Secretary Mazhar said that she looks forward to the visit and she thinks that this is a positive impact on the country’s economy. She also emphasized many opportunities in Pakistan and claimed that investor facilitation is being paid attention and regulatory reform is the priority area for the incumbent government.

 

 

The BOI secretary informed about the ten-year tax exemption introduced in the Special Economic Zones along with the launch of one window operation of landmarks in November this year. While referring to the Foreign Direct Investment she said “I’m positive that the numbers will increase and confident about the way things are going at the moment”.

 

 

She further said that the business climate right now is very conducive and foreign investments will be encouraged from all over the world. Samsung and Uniqlo are about to start their operations in Pakistan too.
