Fredrico Juan Thomas Espana, the French delegation had a meeting with the BOI which is the board of investment to explore some areas of investment in the tourism sector of Pakistan. The French voiced their deep interest to invest in different projects in Gilgit Baltistan as it is an ideal place to develop skiing resorts. 

To facilitate the investors, the government of Gilgit Baltistan along with the BOI have coordinated a tour to five districts of the region that are Astore, Nagar, Skardu, Phandar, and Ghizer. Fareena Mazhar, the secretary of BOI also said that the recent launch of Investment strategy will attract many foreign investments to different sectors, she also informed the French Delegation that the Board has signed a memorandum in exchange of information and problem sharing. 

Upon their return from the tour, the French Delegation will also meet representatives from the minister of Information & Technology to discuss areas of mutual cooperation. 

Secretary also said that the strategy provides a comprehensive investment cycle consisting of promotion, investors tracking, protection, sector scanning, market research, and after-care services to projects and investors. 

BOI had developed a database for the 120 projects with the provincial and federal governments worth $60million.
