Chile to Welcome International Tourists from October
The stunning mountain peaks, adventurous hiking trails, and volcanoes will soon be open to tourists from all around the world as Chile has announced to reopen its borders starting from October.
Even though many more sites are now available to tourists there will be strict requirements to enter the country. Testing and quarantine rules will remain in place and only fully vaccinated passengers will be allowed. Covid test should be taken no longer than 72 hours, an affidavit should be present and a mandatory five-day quarantine will be required right after the arrival. Tourists can quarantine in the Airbnb accommodation or their hotel.
International passengers will need to get their health certificate approved by the Chilean health ministry by a mobility pass app. Unvaccinated children or adults will not be allowed to enter.

What else is important?
Passengers planning to travel should remember to take out the health insurance, if they get Covid-19 on their trip, with a minimum coverage of $30,000.
Even though the cases are dropping, Chile still has nightly curfews in place and remains under the State of Emergency. International visitors are excited to visit Chile as there has been an addition to the UNESCO sites, seventh site ‘Arica and the mummies of Chinchorro’ has been added. Chinchorros are known to be the world’s oldest civilization dating back to 7000 years.
